Founder, Executive Director, Chair, President, & Ceo
CurrentI founded and run an umbrella non-profit 501c3 tax-exempt charity called the Community Life Network Incorporated as the centerpiece of the Unity Network. Its broad purpose is to support and unify a variety of projects that help solve problems of the 21st century through networking and innovation. Its principles are rooted in sustainability, societal transformation, grass roots activism, and collaborative decision making. Since the 2008 collapse of the global economy, the primary focus of my work has been developing proposals for alternative economic systems based on natural ecology and sustainability in collaboration with a variety of movements and organizations including the Occupy Movement in 2011, Inspired Legacies, and the EDGE Alliance. Other community initiatives include Digital Storytellers, that teaches slam poetry and digital editing skills to at risk youth, The Hemp Education Project, which educates the public on the transformative economic outcomes of using industrial hemp, and the World Collaborative for Transformative Community (WCTC) which grew out of the Wellness Center we founded in downtown Santa Cruz. Governance projects include the Governance Evolution Project to bring integrity to government systems and encourage people to run for office, Law By People, which is an iPhone app for a Common English Version of the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution of the United State, and the World Declaration for Interdependence. My primary role is legal document filing, grant writing, finance, taxes, communications, fundraising and general administrative coordination.
Ad Opperations Specialist Level Ii
Helped start up a 1-hour delivery service for eBay. I also helped with promotions and marketing, and worked with engineers to improve the customer experience of the iPhone Direct Delivery App.
Enumerator
Helped Conduct the 2010 US Census. Primarily going door to door, educating people about the census, education on how to fill out a variety of forms, and of course lots of number crunching and accounting. This was a great experience to learn about how our government functions from the inside out.
Certified Warrior Yoga Instructor
Became a certified Warrior Yoga Instructor after a 5-year apprenticeship program. I taught Yoga for 2 years in Juvenile Hall and at risk high schools & middle schools. I would go to juvenile hall twice a week, and the experience was life changing. Some youth said it was the first time they had ever stopped and breathed. I never got any data for weather kids participating in the program were less likely to get back in, but even doing one yoga session creates a memory that could change their life many times over. Although I am still a Certified Yoga Instructor, I currently do not teach yoga regularly.
Warrior Yoga Apprentice
Participated in a 5-Year intensive Warrior Yoga Apprenticeship program to become a Yoga Instructor. The apprenticeship was in the style of martial arts as my Yoga Instructor also taught Quantum Jujitsu.

Helped start the Student Environmental Center (SEC) at UC Santa Cruz in its first year including the primary project which was the first annual Campus Earth Summit and the creation of the Blueprint for a Sustainable Campus.
