I aimed to broaden my horizons so I worked across a whole spectrum of mediums and industries, eventually finding a sweet spot creating hand drawn promos for the London music scene. A chance encounter with the then Editor of XRDs Magazine gave me my first editorial illustration and things rolled from there with work the The NCPCC and The Christie following shortly after. An intense learning period. Doors closed, doors opened and at the end of 2013 the full time creative job happened.

From first call through to ceremony end it was my job to make sure the hard parts were a little less hard, that all the details - no matter how small - were taken care of and that everything ran right on time. When I look at my job now, as a Creative Director almost 15 years later I’d say that almost every skill I have in my toolkit was developed in this role; project management, client management, attention to detail, budgeting, logistics, tact, empathy, creative thinking - everything had to be entirely tailored to the needs of the family, and it had to be impeccable across every project, every interaction, every day. It was by far one of the most foundational and inspirational jobs of my career.
