• Responsible for ensuring specifications are defined and communicated to institutionalize process control and predictive quality process.• Perform inspections of processes, employee training, compliance with applicable food laws and regulations and verify plant HACCP plans.• Assure that all products produced are safe for consumption and conform to the intended product design. This includes being responsible for new product implementation and scale up sign off and process improvement as the R&D Quality Champion.• Direct the quality and product safety components of all R&D driven projects at the site through quality planning, specifications development, and project oversight for compliance to GMP's and other company policies and guidelines.• Collaborate with business partners to ensure seamless quality execution of all new product, process and packaging innovations throughout the development and commercialization phases.• Work cross functionally with R&D, Global Procurement & Operations to verify packaging specifications that elevate & sustain superior quality throughout the supply chain in a cost-effective way• Track quality performance through the entire supply chain to identify opportunities for quality improvement and lead the company to achieve them.• Perform compliance and authorization audits for new factories as per ISO and Britannia standards to assess potential.• To upgrade and improve systems to benchmark against standards of CII and IMC Ramakrishna Bajaj • Handle Customer Relationship Management System

• Deliver Manufacturing Excellence through tools like TPM & Kaizens with the aim of improving delivery in terms of both cost & quality.• To track and sustain successful Kaizen Projects in the pilot unit and then replicate the same across region to maximize benefit.• Formalize and drive Kaizen appreciation program to identify and reward best regional Kaizen to motivate workforce for participation. • Quality Improvement Initiatives through Quality Circle (Introduction of better systems & controls for Quality Improvement) across region.• Process Standardization through TQM in different plant across North India.• To identify areas of cost reduction in liaise with R&D, Operations and Quality Assurance.• Access and drive process efficiency through implementation and tracking of cost reduction projects. • Team Capability Building : Skill Mapping for workmen, identification of training needs related to their field of work area.• Train and involve every employee and workmen on Kaizen and Autonomous Maintenance.

• Participation in Production planning meetings to liaise production schedule as per sales forecast. • Ensure that production schedule is followed and products are delivered as per standard operating procedures and Quality guidelines.• Ensure implementation of online product checks as per Britannia norms to assure delivered quality.• Responsible for hygiene and general GMP and GHP practices implementation.• Assure successful implementation and production of new products at unit. This includes being responsible for new product commercialization and scale up sign off from R&D and Quality.• Lead Productivity Improvement projects through Baking Time & Idle Time Reduction. • Annual finalization of Labor, power, fuel budget for all SKUs, in lines with Finance department & adherence to same.• Responsible for compliance for internal Britannia and ISO 22000 audits guidelines. • Liaise with HR on training need identification for workmen and ensuring workmen participation.• Ensure workmen motivation through formalization of reward programs along with HR collaboration.
