-Part of founding team that formed grassroots organization that works toward securing equal access to education for all students by preserving the use of race in college admissions and targeting inequities confronting students of underrepresented and resilient backgrounds -Partnered with the Lawyers Committee and Legal Defense Fund to and helped mobilize students and rally with students across the nation. Spoke on the steps of the Supreme Court on day of oral arguments in defense of race conscious admissions -Hosting and organizing events to educate students, building solidarity amongst other campus organizations and establishing relationships with Harvard and Yale students/organizations -Spearheaded Diversity at Carolina event including putting together catering menu, organizing a speaker panel, collaborating with leaders from UNC's largest student organizations and creating open dialogue with 40+ people about DEI on campus

-Co founded a grassroots students organization requesting for Asian American resources that gives a voice to an underrepresented community-Led regular meetings with the executive team to strategize, plan advocacy initiatives, and organize events, fostering collaborations with various student groups campus-wide.-Co-authored an open letter and open petition to UNC administration, amassing 900+ signatures.-Orchestrated meetings with department chairs, deans, and other administrative figures, effectively championing the cause and advocating for necessary changes.

-Selected as one of 25 first-year students annually for the prestigious NC Fellows Program, participating in a unique three year leadership development journey at Carolina encompassing both curricular and co-curricular dimensions.-Actively engaged in weekly workshops to explore values, beliefs within the context of their own lives and others while critically analyzing their own leadership skills and strengths and how to put them into action.-Collaborate with others in cohort to look at leadership from a none positional lens and create a personalized definition of leadership that will positively contribute to their time in and beyond the Carolina community.

-Build skills necessary to take up the widely-accessible, vitally important scholarly method of oral history with a focus on the history of Asian Americans in the South (with an emphasis on UNC and Chapel Hill-Conduct oral histories as an interviewer of Southern Mix, a UNC-based project dedicated to collecting and preserving Asian and Asian American oral histories in the US South. All work is deposited in the Southern Mix archive at UNC’s Wilson Library.-Examine power relations and oral history work with a critical lenses to identify the roles that archives/archivists, funding institutions, and future researchers have in shaping oral histories’ representations

-Awarded the Southern Oral History Program and Southern Futures summer grant-Collaborate with other members to create a digital platform that centralized a collection of oral histories, with a focus on the diverse and culturally significant experiences of Asian Americans in the southern region.

-Attend require weekly meetings to build lasting relationships with campus administration, local experts, and peer cohort to participate in foundational active learning experience to deepen DEIB awareness skills, knowledge and practical application (activism, advocacy, diplomacy) -Engage with University Office for Diversity and Inclusion through monthly meetings with the Chief Diversity Officer and other leadership -Responsible for active learning placement project to address emerging diversity and inclusion efforts on campus

-Focus and work on education policy topics including educator preparation, strategic staffing, blended learning approaches, and post-secondary transitions-Participate in the development of survey and interview protocols; primary data collection; qualitative data coding; analysis of qualitative and quantitative data; and writing of research reports

-Push for Asian American curriculum in K-12 classrooms by lobbying and testifying for Senate bill S4021 & Assembly bill A6100 at NJ State House Annex.-Ensure Implementation of AAPI curricula bill inside classrooms Speak at events like the NJ Division on Civil Rights’ Stopping Asian Hate: Know Your Civil Rights, Use Your Voice, Create Pathways for Healing webinar and Horizon’s Asian American Affinity Group Annual Celebration -Campaigns to include AAPI history on the AP US History exam -Designed website and utilize social media to recruit new volunteers, spread awareness and educate community members on the NJ APPI Curricula Bill
