After completing a year of service through the Department of Service and Civic Innovation's (DSCI) I was offered a full time position and have now extended my employment with the Asian American Center of Frederick (AACF) past my original service term.As a Community Health Worker and Program Assistant for AACF's "Accelerated Pre-Apprenticeship Program for New Immigrants" (APAPNI). My duties include; coordinating program activities, conducting community outreach, helping community members with navigate healthcare and available services, working on administrative tasks, supporting participants with case management and wraparound services and creating marketing materials.

I am a Community Health Worker working with the Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) and the Senior Companion Program (SCP) to help educate, provide services, and support the underserved in Frederick County. My subsequent duties include working on administrative tasks, coordinating project activities, creating marketing materials and managing volunteers and volunteer data.

I have have successfully completed a year of service with AACF (Asian American Center of Frederick). I am thrilled and honored to have been selected by both AACF and DSCI (Department of Service and Civic Innovation) for the Service Year Option. My time with both DSCI and AACF was incredibly valuable and helped me to grow immensely.

Followed procedures handling cash, checks coupons, gift cards, food stamps, and WIC vouchers. Maintained knowledge of office procedures including cash reports, register checkups, deposits, Western union, money orders, and coinstar.
