Dr. Rajesh Kumar is leading cross-disciplinary R&D projects (sponsored) that ranges from healthcare to food-control to cosmetics. He has expertise in Spectroscopy & Imaging for biomedical, analytical and bioanalytical applications. He works in Biophysics & Medical Technology Section in NTNU (Norway). Earlier, he has also worked in NASA/JPL (USA), MIT/Cambridge (USA), St. Andrews (UK) and SKKU (South-Korea).He has received (i) Research Grant by Health Authority of Central Norway 2015-2018 (ii) Mobility Research Grant by Health Authority of Central Norway 2017 (iii) Internationalization of Medical Technology Grant 2013 and, (iv) Medical Imaging (MedIm) Research and Travel Grant 2012 in Norway. In addition to this, he has been highly successful in acquiring several prestigious fellowships and awards during his academic career. He is the recipient of the SPIE award (USA), the Marie-Curie Fellowship funded by European-Union (EU/FP7), a National Award by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), another National Award by the Indian Physics Association (IPA) and, a National Fellowship Award KVPY (funded by the DST, Gov. of India). He has been awarded the professional status of Associate Fellow by the Higher Education Academy (HEA), United-Kingdom. He serves as external peer reviewer for International Research Grants and Scientific Journal Articles. He also served as the grand jury panel member in Intel-ISEF award (Los-Angeles) and California state science fair awards.
