As part of an embedded team at REI, I help lead a team of copywriters, designers and art directors in all day-to-day creative for two channels: Email and Local Events. Together, with the internal REI creative and channel marketing teams, we extend the brand creative, while maintaining channel marketing tactics.

Building a brand from the ground up, I lead our teams creative and marketing efforts. This included managing design executions, event displays, sales support, retail marketing, social media, paid digital, external agencies and more. I was able to help translate a brand into an environmental experience with the development and management of a taproom, using a range of aesthetic design, graphic design, menu design and more.

We saw the taproom as the largest marketing asset for Riff. It was important for the Marketing/Creative Director, to fully understand the potential of the taproom and understand the day-to-day. My role included management of 15+ employees, team culture, hiring/firing, training, menu development, customer experience, day-to-day management and more.

I produced and managed all design, advertising and marketing materials—broadening my experience from traditional design and art direction into full creative marketing. This was an opportunity to build a brand from inception (identity design, beer naming, tap handle design, label/can design) to maturity (social media management, tasting room support, sales support, retail marketing, merchandise and web design).
