Staff Engineer
Amongst it’s remarkable audiovisual technologies Dolby provides a Communication Platform as a Service (CPaaS) and a streaming service. Both act as a platforms for low latency video conferencing and broadcasting respectively, and both are accompanied by a series of SDKs to help customers use Dolby technologies in their products.In relation to the CPaaS, in the capacity of staff engineer, my responsibilities included leading a team of up to 6 developers, whilst undertaking project management and ownership duties. Moreover I have acted as the primary liaison between the development team and management, and have provided mentorship and coaching to midlevel and junior members of the team.Additionally to my managerial and mentorship duties, I have actively contributed to the development of the Flutter and React Native SDKs for CPaaS, and to the iOS and macOS SDKs for the streaming service.Projects:- Flutter SDK: As team lead, have delivered several releases of this SDK. It allows developers to integrate Dolby’s CPaaS offering into their Flutter applications, runs on iOS and Android and is written in the Dart, Swift, Java, and Kotlin languages.- React Native SDK: As team lead have maintained, updated and further developed this SDK. It enables developer to use Dolby’s CPaaS offering into their React Native applications. Written in the Typescript, Javascript, Swift, Java, and Kotlin languages, this SDK can be used in iOS and Android applications.- iOS SDK: Contributed to the development of the iOS and macOS SDK for the streaming service.
