Graduate of the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program at the University of Massachusetts Boston. Currently employed as a School Nurse for Canton Public Schools. Previously worked as a visiting nurse for 2 companies. Prior to that, worked as a Registered Nurse in the Vincent Outpatient Obstetrics Department at Massachusetts General Hospital. Where she followed women through all stages of pregnancy and post partum periods. Previously she was employed at Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton, MA, floating between medical-surgical, telemetry and the geri-psych units. Prior to that, she specialized in post-op orthopedic patients at both Good Samaritan and Spaulding Rehabilitation.While in school, she completed her preceptorship on the Pediatric floor and PICU of Boston Medical Center. During this time, she cared for patients ranging in age from newborns to 25 years old admitted to the hospital for medical and surgical management. Previous clinical experience includes one semester of Nursing Care of Children done at Boston Medical Center; one semester of Community Nursing at South Boston Community Health Center where she floated between the Pediatric and Adult floors; one semester of Maternity & Women’s Health Nursing completed at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center on the Labor & Delivery and Postpartum floors; one semester of Mental Health Nursing at the Veteran’s Administration Hospital in Brockton on both the substance abuse and in-patient psychiatric floors; and one semester of Adult Health Nursing at the Veteran’s Administration Hospital in West Roxbury on the cardiac/telemetry floor.Before starting her career in Nursing, Bethany was an Accountant and Financial Analyst for A123Systems. She started with A123 when there were only 25 employees based out of Boston University and she ended her career with A123 after helping to grow the company to an International organization of over 1800 employees and assisting with their IPO.
