About Barbara Ellen Griffin
When I stumbled upon the solar energy sector and started working to provide the average American family the ability to power their home with solar energy, my life went in an unexpected, but amazing direction. Everything seemed to fall into place. I felt strong and capable, an ambassador for all that is good and right, in a world too often crowded with anger and hate. Helping families take back control over their power bill, and finally giving them a choice about where they get their electricity from is a powerful thing (pun intended). Providing others an alternative to the traditional method of simply paying their power bill each month, a bill that is as unpredictable in cost as it is difficult to read and understand, gives me a sense of purpose that drives and inspires me every day. Making a tangible difference by changing a simple aspect of everyday life most have accepted as a necessary evil, is nothing short of a privilege. Paying a company you never chose, for a service that is essential to everyday life (lights, internet, heat/air, cooking, etc.), at a price that consistently goes up an avg. 8% per year seems absurd to me. Why not take advantage of the choices solar provides about how you pay for power, simultaneously store energy for use during power outages, and finally, do it at a price doesn't cost more, but rather it saves you more money each year...I mean what more could you want? Take control over your power! Turn money that would have been lost forever to the power co. into an investment in your home, your family, and your future. There is no other investment opportunity on this earth that provides such amazing ROI, much less from day one! I challenge you to come up with one that comes even close! Why waste away your hard earned money by paying a utility that offers only a temporary service in return, when you could put it towards something real that can last a lifetime? Think about it like this, if you could have locked in gas prices 10 years ago at less than $1 per gallon, wouldn't you have done so? Right, so why wouldn't you lock in the cost of energy now, when you can; don't you think you'll regret it if you don't?
