Working on my own at a customer site, I installed a data warehouse solution. Involved at all stages from the initial planning, finding out exactly where data is coming from and what rules are applicable. I would install the software and help validate the data. The install could be anywhere in Europe. Once complete I would provide technical training to IT staff and end user training to wider business users. Installation could be on AS/400 using RPGLE or Windows2000/SQL2000 with DTS. Spent 2 weeks at the corporate HQ in Chicago assisting our Australian business partner’s produce an OEM version of the software.

Achieved a 1st class pass in the initial officer training at Dartmouth. For the second half of the course I was responsible for the welfare of six new entrants. Basic Observer training involved learning all aspects of air navigation, air traffic regulations, radar and instrument theory. This was examined academically and practically in over 100 hours of flying. Again, I achieved a 1st class pass. One of only two streamed for Airborne Early Warning advanced training. Learnt about all aspects of the Seaking helicopter and search and rescue. This was assessed both on the ground and in practical winching at land and sea. I successfully completed all written examinations and initial practical fighter control exercises
