Ultrasound acoustic energy transfer (UAET) is an emerging contactless energy transfer technology that offers the capability to safely power sensors and devices while eliminating the need to replace batteries, which is of interest in many applications, especially in the biomedical field. To date, the majority of the research on UAET systems has been limited.

We developed novel design paradigms for superior through-wall wireless energy transfer. Through-wall wireless energy transfer using piezoelectric devices is a technology proposed for charging sensors in enclosed shells or vessels typically found in automobiles, space stations, and nuclear reactors.
