My work involved managing NCVO's team of interdisciplinary experts to deliver consulting and training assignments across different areas. I was seconded to AUSU to support with a period of significant organisational change. As part of the senior management team I worked closely with the trustee board and interim CEO to devise a sustainable plan for the unions future and provide leadership to the organisations Membership Services departments. During the assignment I was the key staff support to student officers in campaigns a policy work and was responsible for management of all the unions membership services including; the advice centre, student activities, democracy and academic representation teams.

At NUS I supported students' union trustees and staff to improve the effectiveness of their organisations. This involved undertaking organisational diagnostics to determine the nature of development needs and then working with students' unions to implement recommendations. I helped unions to define their organisational purpose through the definition of vision mission and values, to develop 3-5 year organisation wide strategic plans and offered consultancy on matters relating to organisational structure, governance and management.

I had responsibility for coordinating NUS' governance processes. This work involved the servicing the National Executive Council and meetings of the Trustee Board. I supported the policy and elections processes for NUS' annual National Conference.Led volunteering policies for NUS', this involved establishing a network of volunteer managers, centralising data on volunteers and managing code of conduct issues.
