Met. Change Project

I was seconded to this project, tasked to lead the redesign of criminal investigation processes and design for the Local Policing Model ready for roll out across the MPS. This project was conceived to meet exceptional austerity measures, seeking to secure savings whilst safeguarding service delivery; my contribution successfully identified significant savings.

Homicide And Serious Crime Command

As a Senior Investigating Officer, I led on serious and complex cases including murder and serious risk to life investigations; driving covert intelligence gathering and the management of highly sensitive, confidential, information. I oversaw the use of the most advanced and sophisticated analytical techniques to establish the identity of individuals involved in serious and organised crime.

Child Abuse Invesitgation Command

I led a specialist unit, proactively targeting offenders. I oversaw the research, planning and implementation of covert investigations in the pursuit of offenders nationally and internationally. I managed the most sensitive intelligence from global law enforcement agencies including the FBI and the NCA working in effective liaison to appropriately share intelligence.

Trident Homicide Team

I supervised the complex investigations into gang associated, firearms led, murders. I established communication links with often hostile community members and managed reluctant witnesses within these high risk cases. I worked with independent advisory groups, facilitating links across these complex communities; securing significant successes.

Operational Policing - Wandsworth Borough

Anti-Corruption Command

I led a team of specialist investigators focusing on complicated internal investigations. I managed challenging investigations to ascertain if criminal activity had occurred and investigated if any failures of professional behaviour of police officers or staff amounted to misconduct or breaches of regulations. This included the identification of organisational risk and collation of all valuable learning to deliver the highest legal standards and absolute transparency.
