I am Lecturer in Law at the Technological University of the Shannon, (TUS).A Barrister by profession, I am a Doctoral Candidate of NUI in the field of Governance.I Chair the Board of Directors of Social Finance Foundation, (a wholesale Social Finance Bank, partnering with the European Investment Fund and Council of Europe Bank).From 2019-2022 I was Governance, Risk, Legal & Compliance advisor to my University.From 2014-2019 I travelled globally for the University, establishing partnerships in Asia, Africa, Middle-East, the Americas and throughout Europe.From 2013-2015 I lectured at the School of Law of the University of Limerick.During 2008-2013 I helped expand TTM Healthcare’s range of interests from professional recruitment to worldwide healthcare project and service-management. The business grew from 4 people (including myself) to in excess of 200 in that time. In my work at TTM, it was a huge privilege to solve some of the logjams that then existed in Ireland’s public healthcare system.I have advised and worked on successful political campaigns and from 2012-2022 I was Vice President of Fianna Fáil and a member of its National Executive.From 2000-2006, I worked in process-improvement and merger & acquisition projects at GE Companies in Ireland and the UK.My career began as Executive Officer at the Department of Enterprise, Trade & Employment, while still in college, studying Law, Politics, Sociology and Economics. In my late teens and early twenties, my jobs at the Department were: European Structural Funds Officer; Competition Law Enforcement Officer/Courts Assistant and Secretary to Sworn Hearings of the Competition Authority.My experience spans the fields of Legal, Academic, Governance, Compliance, Risk, Politics & Public Administration; International Relations; Strategy/Policy Development & Implementation; Problem-Solving; Negotiation; Multinationals & Global Operations; Quality & Efficiency; Enterprise Growth.To relax, I read, garden, hobby-farm, coach juvenile Gaelic Games and enjoy music.
