• Lead the strategic planning process and long-term goal setting for the FIGO Programmes Department. This includes establishing policies, processes, and procedures for business development, grant management, and the pipeline process and structure for grants and partnerships.• Create and implement frameworks and tools to formalize, specialize, and develop the Programmes Department. • Managed the impact evaluation of a US CDC-funded comprehensive HIV prevention project in North West Province, South Africa by liaising with governmental, non-governmental and private organizations to secure contracts, procure essential supplies, establish a field office, conduct community entry activities and solve logistical issues• Developed project plans and timelines, standard operating procedures, data collection tools and training materials; train staff and conduct study to achieve project goal of 1,200 completed surveys during three months of data collection• Supervised 22 staff members collecting census data through listing of households throughout 47 enumeration areas; supervise 32 staff members administering a cross-sectional, population-based community survey with HIV rapid testing, point-of-care CD4 testing, and collection of biological samples in two sub-districts and oversee all data collection, quality control and management• Developed and delivered a US HRSA-funded situational analysis of HIV/TB/STI Services in Correctional Services in two regions of South Africa: conducted a literature review, developed research tools and facilitated collaborative stakeholder meetings; trained data collection teams, supervised and participated in data collection in collaboration with the South African Department of Correctional Services and Department of Health; cleaned and analyzed qualitative and quantitative data, wrote reports and delivered findings through meetings, presentations and publications• Lead roles in other HRSA-funded projects including the design and planning of a Retention and Adherence Demonstration Project in North West Province, transition to electronic systems for data collection for mobile wellness days (a component of the comprehensive HIV prevention project); data collection in rural clinics for TB/HIV Facility Assessments
