I provided continuous feedback, identifying development needs, of both students and assessors. I managed complex and extensive documentation and protocols to enable me to verify evidence of student development and award each diploma. Responding to exceptional austerity requirements, I handled intense demand on resources, continually seeking opportunities to deliver excellent service whilst securing savings. During this time, I also developed and delivered policy around an internal reward and recognition initiative. My role included the identification of organisational risk, collation of all valuable learning and maintenance of the highest legal standards. I compiled detailed reports, securing complete transparency of process and applied methods of enquiry to manage individuals who frequently held acute awareness of the law and police procedures. I successfully managed anxiety and reluctance around complaint resolution, from both police officers and members of the public, through transparent and clear communication. I provided clarity to officers on correct procedures and, using analysis of complaints, identified areas of weakness to be remedied. I managed the triage of calls and requests from members of the public requiring police response and action. This role required exceptional diplomacy to manage often distressed and passionate exchanges. I consistently managed heightened situations; appropriately assessing and grading reports and subsequently allocating the most suitable police response.

Working in partnership with Leeds City Council and community leads, I drove a robust challenge to anti-social behaviour. I secured numerous anti-social behaviour orders and the closure of drug houses. This was a challenging role requiring exceptional diplomacy and influencing skills to manage often reluctant and vulnerable victims and witnesses. My proactive methodology secured an increase in confidence in policing services and community satisfaction.

I drove the appropriate sharing of intelligence to support the community, communicating effectively with local groups to enable timely and effective exchange of information. I exercised an assured leadership approach, demonstrating the ability to manage a diversity of issues, to influence widely and to process information quickly and accurately.I worked within various specialist teams including a vice unit, dealing with street prostitution, robberies, licensing issues and drug investigations. These complex investigations were often hampered by witnesses being intimidated by threats of extreme violence. The scale of profits for the offenders was considerable and securing convictions required tenacity, patience and resilience throughout each investigation. Show less
