- Chief spokesperson for HM Treasury across all issues including all aspects of Budgets, Pre-Budget Reports and crisis communications including the 2008 global financial crisis and Government interventions in the UK banking sector.- Managed and led high intensity engagement with top-tier political, business, economics and specialist journalists.- Advised the Chancellor, all Treasury Ministers and No10 on all aspects of media management across all Treasury policy areas.- Delivered announcements on the nationalisation of Northern Rock, bail out of RBS and government support for Lloyds TSB and HBOS. - Oversaw running of the Press Office and all its deliverables.
