As Finance Manager I have:• Established financial controls and procedures across the company.• Introduced systems to ensure scope for growth and scaleability.• Improved efficiency to give the finance team the ability to complete more tasks without additional resource.• Implemented a company-wide time tracking system to understand and improve costs and to enable resource focus to improve profitability.• Use of advanced excel techniques to link to Sage 50 via ODBC to produce a high quality monthly management accounts pack for the board, with full year info, P&L, balance sheet, variance analysis, forecasts, budgets, charts, pivot data, conditional formatting, consolidation and sales analysis.• Management of the Sales and Purchase ledger functions • Completion of regular duties such as accounting adjustments, fixed assets, accruals, prepayments, deferred income, reconciliations, inter-company accounts, VAT returns, cash flow forecasting and management, budgets/forecasts and VAT returns.
