35 years experience in all aspects of cut and sew manufacturing in the outdoor luggage/backpacks/travel accessories for a world class brand (Eagle Creek, Inc., a VF Corporation) Known for its quality and No Matter What Warranty. My main focus is quality assurance with a strong knowledge of QA concepts, testing tools, and testing processes. My accomplishments and strengths are to work closely with our product development teams throughout all aspects of development to identify any design improvements, potential product failures, and cost saving opportunities. Making sure that all quality processes are in place and providing our customers with award winning quality products. Also reviewing and providing analysis on bill of materials (FOB’s), design specifications, prototypes, tech pacs and material summaries for accuracy before going into production for first product runs.I collaborated and helped kick start the brands sustainability and renewal pilot program. I am passionate about all sustainability efforts in the manufacturing of clean materials.Through warranty and failure analysis I implemented corrective actions through the Design & Development teams. I maintained an engineering change database which directed changes to web site, packaging, merchandising, FOB, and sales teams. Working closely with China, Vietnam, and Mexico maquiladora manufacturing with emphasis on development processes, product introductions, and training has allowed me to ensure a high standard of quality. My skills also include factory training, quality control, production, and product packaging. My duties required me to travel to Asia and Mexico to review manufacturing processes, product introductions, and training programs.Key skills include: Detailed oriented, problem solving through analytical analysis, material and component testing, physical finished product testing, RSL (restricted substance list) testing, risk assessment testing, and standardized lab testing.
