I’ve always had a passion for technology. From taking apart video players and PCs as a kid to solving complex organisational technology problems, the old Roman adage by Seneca rings true for me: Luck is what happens when preparation meets opportunity. Starting out as a programmer working on projects in China, India, and Switzerland Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC), I have continually proven myself to be an expert in delivering IT operations and development throughout diverse teams at Commonwealth Bank Australia (CBA), MMI, AMP, and CSC. Focused on not only developing my team’s leadership but my own as well, I am continually listening to problems, collaboratively working to find solutions, and recognising the power of relationship to solve organisational inefficiencies and system breakdowns. Currently, at CBA as their Senior Service Manager for Assisted Channels, I take pride in being able to solve IT issues for the Bank to meet and exceed its customers’ high standards. Here are a few of my accomplishments: ✔ Turned around sinking relationship to produce satisfied partner who realised value in team’s contributions. ✔ Realigned unmotivated team to gain a greater sense of ownership among staff to improve work quality and deepen their awareness of their capabilities to take on new challenges. ✔ Delivered leading-edge service delivery practice within the Bank. ✔ Provided a unified view of service delivery management across the organisation to allow managers to gain key clarity of their roles’ expectations. ✔ Gained significant buy-in and support from the team with greater ownership and understanding of the required protocol. I work closely with my teams to ensure we’re providing the best possible service we can to our customers, partners, and organisation as a whole. If you’d like to learn more about how I engage my teams to be high-performing and impactful throughout the business, I welcome your contact. Rick 0432 884 879 | ricktaylor1@gmail.com
