Rail Operations - Incident Response

In this diverse role, I manage incidents affecting the central operating section of the Elizabeth line. My role is to meet route performance requirements, by ensuring incidents are resolved and the line is restored to normal operations in a safe and timely manner. Role responsibilities include working as tactical command during major / critical and security incidents. I work collaboratively with external emergency services overseeing the planning of on-site response and application of standards, within strict regulatory rules and working guidelines. I manage risk and develop safe systems of work to ensure collaborators are safeguarded. I ensure effective working relationships are upheld with stakeholders, taking appropriate action to correct / mitigate exposure to loss and minimise risk to the business, enabling customers to complete their journey in a safe and timely manner.

Taskforce Command - Professional Development Unit

I managed in-house Public & Personal Safety and Emergency Life Support training for 1300 members of staff within the Taskforce Command. In this high-pressured role, I maintained and selected appropriate training venues, ensuring H&S principles were adhered to. I developed / implemented new Standard Operating Procedures (SOPS) in line with training policies, working closely with the College of Policing, learning and development and other assets.I lead a cohort of 28 instructors, ensuring they worked in line with new training regimes, plotted course delivery, developed bespoke training packages and ensured they remained in date with qualifications. I managed several stakeholders ensuring best practice was adhered to in line with policy and procedure.The role regularly required rapid adjustment of training plans and stringent risk assessments, to ensure officers and staff received the most appropriate and relevant content. I prepared accurate reports to deliver in presentations and chaired meetings to all levels of senior management, influencing a variety of audiences and managed strict budgetary parameters. I used fast and effective problem-solving skills to mitigate various levels of risk and regularly conducted tactical assessments. This allowed effective communication to build and maintain working partnerships.I supervised and mentored less experienced colleagues, supporting the provision of learning around personal development of critical skills, meeting different aspects of professional development. I utilised an expansive learning management system (LMS), to create training sessions and course dates, allocating and warning instructors and officers on attendance requirements. I oversaw all documentation and administration, including oversight of several busy mailboxes.Public Order - I worked on an on call basis in often confrontational public order situations and sporting events. I worked alongside bronze, silver or gold commanders during events.

Specialist Operations - Royalty And Specialist Protection

I worked with the Royalty and Specialist Protection Command, supporting the delivery of operations for the funeral of HM Queen Elizabeth II and the coronation of HM King Charles III.Within both events I developed and delivered security packages for specific diplomats attending these significant events; ensuring their safe and efficient movement which met a strict protection plan devised in partnership with a dedicated protection officer. Adhering to best practice around security requirements, I developed specific contingency plans, managed risk around sensitive information and delivered robust emergency planning around routes, safe exits and safe areas for visits.Extensive dedicated planning was required to manage the movement of visiting foreign dignitaries and diplomats attending these events through exceptionally crowded areas; the need for rapid flexibility and intelligence management was paramount to utilise the clearest, safest and most directroutes and support any additional travel requirements whilst in the UK. I successfully coordinated with partners in the Foreign and Commonwealth Office and related embassy staff; contributing to planning and security meetings to deliver exacting standards of service.

Met Operations - Taskforce

I worked to support the recruitment and training of officers applying for specialist roles in diverse units including the Territorial Support Group, National Police Air Service (NPAS), Interceptor Unit, Mounted Branch, Dog Support Unit, Explosive Search Dog Unit and the Marine Policing Unit. This required a wide range of skills from delivery and ongoing support of assessment centres to administration and collation of information to ensure candidates received fair and efficient management.

Met Operations - Taskforce - Mounted Branch

I was selected for this highly specialist role, having undertaken and passed an intense and demanding course. I conducted mounted patrols in support of organisational and borough priorities. This included supporting the policing of public order; dealing with both planned events and spontaneous public disorder incidents. I was active in the highly visible and overt policing of sporting and ceremonial events throughout London. Alongside the delivery of exceptional service, I ensured strict compliance with policy, procedure and animal welfare.

Frontline Policing

Response - Tasked with the immediate reaction to critical incidents, I managed a diversity of issues, processing information quickly and accurately and delivering a considered and constructive approach in this diverse, fast time, role. I exercised exceptional conflict management skills and demonstrated the ability to connect with people, even in the most difficult environments. My responsibilities included managing PIP1 volume crimes, from initial reporting / investigations, to court proceedings.Neighbourhood - I identified opportunities to build and maximise community engagement and trust. This included intelligence gathering to support public protection, investigations and prevention. Working in liaison with multi-agency partners, I secured high levels of customer satisfaction and positive feedback. I delivered initiatives to develop robust relationships across diverse communitiesworking proactively to reduce anti-social behaviour and crime.Licensed Search Officer - As a licensed search officer (LSO), I would provide specialist resilience around counter terrorism, crime, extreme risk and public order incidents. I exercised exquisite attention to detail during deployments, to eliminate risk of losing vital evidence for high profile investigations. Public Order - I worked on an on call basis in often confrontational public order situations from street disorder to demonstrations and sporting events. I'd also work in the capacity of a public order loggist / runner alongside bronze, silver or gold commanders during events where public order trained officers were deployed, keeping a stringent record of events around tactical decisionmaking.Central Casualty Bureau - I worked on an on call basis as an Incident Call Handler, acting as a first/single point of contact for receiving and assessing information about persons involved, or believed to be involved, in critical incidents.

Managing a team of ten staff, I led various projects within the UK food industry. This included facility and equipment maintenance across various sites, ensuring all aspects of site and staff management met exacting standards and legal requirements. I also delivered exceptional health and safety instruction and guidance and conducted risk assessments to secure exceptional service delivery.
