As the National Program Manager for Women Economic Empowerment at PCI India, I lead the urban livelihood portfolio, implementing innovative solutions to elevate the socio-economic status of the urban poor. My expertise spans women-led micro and small enterprises, social marketing, community institution strengthening, enterprise assessments and research. Additionally, I spearhead business development initiatives for my organization's urban livelihoods portfolio, enhancing our market presence and securing new opportunities.My diverse career encompasses livelihoods, operational research, social behaviour change communication, and health & nutrition programs. During my earlier role, I have co-developed strategic initiatives with the Ministry of Rural Development, advancing the National Rural Livelihood Mission’s (NRLM) integration of health and nutrition in its mandate, leading to nationwide adoption by State Rural Livelihood Missions (SRLMs). I also directed social mobilization campaigns in Bihar with the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare for the elimination of Lymphatic Filariasis, achieving a notable increase in drug consumption rates.Throughout my career, I have demonstrated success in driving sustainable development through strategic project planning, management, and partnerships.
