As a hostess I welcome the guests to the restaurant and accommodate to their requests. I also answer the phone, book reservations and arrange tables to make room for larger parties. I also assist the servers by cleaning and setting up tables for guests on the waiting list and ensure that the guests are informed of their wait times. As a dietary care aide, I provide assistance to the cook in service of meals. Some of the main tasks include assisting in arranging and loading food carts, setting up the dining room, washing and storing dishes, and following the cleaning schedules. I am also required to report any unsafe and malfunctioning equipment.

Working at Doon Village Retirement residence, I was responsible for maintaining the kitchen. I made sure that there were no hazards, keeping the kitchen a safe working environment. As a dishwasher, was also assisting the cook and servers.
