Workflo is a #DesignSystems platform for show-casing and sharing React components (used for building user interfaces) across UI design and engineering teams.The tech stack included React, Ohm Next and Datomic and was written in a combination of typed Javascript (using Flow), Clojure & ClojureScript.As one of the first hires I was responsible for building key parts of the UI as well as driving design and usability research to influence product decisions.• Developed a sandbox code-editor using React + ImmutableJS, purpose-built for building React components.• Designed and developed the shell and re-usable layout primitives to be deployed across the app.• Built mockups in Sketch + InVision to prototype features on our backlog.• Conducted usability studies with potential customers to validate current user experience of the product, and test designs for upcoming user stories.

Was brought in as the sole UI engineer on the analytics team at Mulesoft, with a charter of accelerating the development of rich data oriented experiences across the company by shipping a set of re-usable charting components and analytics libraries.Key deliverables included:• Built React charting components which composed functionality built in D3.js, Victory.js, RxJS and Plottable.• Developed an API for syncing interactions across charts in a way that was performant up to thousands of data points.• Designed a simple JSON-based Query DSL and implemented a client for using the DSL to fetch analytics data from our various analytics APIs.• Also implemented bindings so that app developers could declaratively define what data goes where on the chart, and all the filtering, pivoting and aggregation to pass in the data correctly is handled automatically.• Built a "KPI Dashboard" MVP which was demo'd by the Mulesoft CPO (Mark Dao) at Mulesoft's major Connect conference.• Shipped an "API Consumer Dashboard" for Mulesoft user's tracking their consumption of their own internal APIS, built with a hybrid of Angular, React & Redux.

• Co-founded TapSavvy and led design, sales and product development through multiple product iterations.• Shipped TableTalk, a tool for tracking guest satisfaction in real-time, to high-volume Austin restaurants, where it improved user engagement over existing tools by 7x.• Defined and managed feature roadmap for our entire product stack: A rich web app built with AngularJS and D3.js; A native Android app; An Android tablet with case purpose-built for restaurants; A shared application back-end built on AWS + PostgreSQL + Node.js + Express.• Implemented lean and agile workflows across team from the ground up.• Oversaw our product’s user experience, informed by A/B tests, engagement data, success metrics and countless customer interviews.• Personally sold our first several customers prior to recruiting sales reps and developing a repeatable sales process which leveraged reporting and tracking through our CRM.• Negotiated a hardware OEM partnership with Dell which secured financing and preferred pricing for Dell Android tablets.• Employed Chinese and Los Angeles based manufacturers to produce tablet cases to spec.

• Drove key business intelligence features from planning to release in Excel 2013.• Oversaw a major overhaul of PivotChart functionality, including a UI redesign, PivotChart animations, new ad-hoc analysis tools, improvements to the PivotCharts data and object models, and new supported data sources.• Defined feature requirement specs and priorities informed by usability studies, telemetry data, customer interviews, input from product marketing, development bandwidth and stakeholders across three major product teams.• Pitched leadership to get buy-in for new features, and subsequently led feature teams comprised of designers, developers and QA in both agile and waterfall environments.

• Worked in the Data Center Switching Technology Group (DCSTG) writing scripts to performance test multicast networking protocols in the Nexus 7000 Series switches to fit specific client needs, including Verizon and Goldman Sachs.• Shadowed the V.P. of Engineering in the Voice Technology Group (VTG) at business strategy and enterprise sales meetings.
