As the Operations Manager for Building Technology Campuses at KU Leuven, I manage the integrated HVAC systems and electrical installations across various sites, including high-tech laboratory buildings, lecture halls, and office buildings. My role involves ensuring the safe, efficient, and energy-saving operation of these systems. I develop a network with key users, provide technical advice, support, and guidance, and act as the central link between projects and maintenance to maintain a comprehensive overview of site activities. In case of emergencies, I take on a damage control role to minimize impact on end users. Additionally, I lead a team of technical experts and supporting external campus teams in external campuses. This dynamic role requires strong technical knowledge, communication skills, and a proactive, problem-solving approach.

Responsible for managing the integrated HVAC installations and electrical engineering . We ensure that the installations in our buildings run properly, safely and energy efficiently.

TRANSfarm faciliteert wetenschappelijk onderzoek op pilootschaal in het brede domein van duurzame bio-economie en biomedisch onderzoek. TRANSfarm is de nieuwe opschaal site van de groep Wetenschap en Technologie voor onderzoek en demonstratie in het brede domein van circulaire bio-economie. Hiervoor wordt een nieuwe site gebouwd met state of the art infrastructuur en technieken te Lovenjoel. Het technologische hart van de site is een innovatief, fossiel arm energiesysteem met slimme sturing. Als technical manager ben ik siteverantwoordelijke voor alle technieken en het aanspreekpunt voor onze wetenschappers om de sturing van de geïnstalleerde technieken te stroomlijnen met de onderzoeksnoden. Daarnaast zorg ik ervoor dat onze technische ploeg in optimale en veilige omstandigheden haar werkzaamheden kan uitvoeren. Als onderdeel van het Management Team van TRANSfarm, sta ik in voor de strategische vertaalslag naar de operationele werking en deze verandering te begeleiden.

Collaborate with Crestron US Engineering, Technology and System Designers to determine the requirements for the EMEA region during the development phase of new products and applications: - Localization, translations, European standards, etc.Support and educate the EMEA (Technical) Sales team regarding new Crestron Products including the new software tools.

Our team is responsible for the integration with 3rd party manufacturers and for this we have developed a program called “Integrated Partner Program”.The main focus of this program is Business Development and it allows both manufacturers to communicate to each other through direct lines on different levels (Training, Technical Support, Sales, Marketing, …).Building a worldwide manufacturer network and providing unlimited 3rd party integration solutions towards our mutual customers is what makes Crestron the leading provider of control and automation systems.

Teaching a 3-day class of international programmers how to program in the Crestron Simpl+ environment.

As a software engineer at the Integrated Partner Program department I developed drivers between the Crestron product and third party manufacturers. Analysing protocols, setting up communication between several platforms and delivering high quality software modules that ensure interoperability.
