Volunteer applications are still available for the 2010 U.S. Senior Open. The Championship is not possible without the help of more than 3,000 volunteers needed to fill positions on 30 committees, including Merchandise, Admissions, and Volunteer Training & Uniforms. A full description of committee responsibilities is provided on the website and on the application form to assist volunteers in determining their preferences All volunteers are required to purchase the Volunteer Package for $125. The Volunteer Package includes the following (a $400 + value): One (1) Championship golf shirtOne (1) Championship windbreakerOne (1) Championship hat or visorOne (1) Championship water bottleOne (1) Championship program voucherOne (1) Volunteer credential valid for all seven days of the championshipOne (1) Year complimentary USGA membership in 2011Complimentary food, snacks and beverages on the days you volunteerOne time discount in the merchandise pavilionOpportunity to purchase discounted ticketsEach volunteer will be asked to work approximately 16 - 20 hours or four to five shifts over the course of the championship. Junior volunteers may sign up for the Program Sales committee. Juniors must be between the ages of 13 and 17 at the time of the championship. The junior volunteer package (priced at $25) includes: one (1) 2010 U.S. Senior Open golf shirt one (1) Ball cap volunteer credential (valid for all seven days of the championship).
