I have a Master Degree in Civil Engineering from Lebanese University-Faculty of Engineering II. I worked as a structural engineer at “Kamil Hachem design office" on several projects and I have experience in analysis and design of building and tower structures.I enjoyed this career because it involves team working, creative problem solving and practical skills such as sketching ,drawing and using computer models.I always have the will to know more about the vast civil engineering field. This brought me to work recently as a Construction Technical Controller at Bureau Veritas.The main aim of Building Technical Control is to help ensure the structural integrity and safety of new buildings under construction. All parts of construction are covered, from foundations, flooring, walls and roofing to installations.My responsibility as technical controller is monitoring the compliance with relevant regulations, technical specifications and codes, from design phase through to building completion, by conducting design reviews and on-site inspections related to the following works that affect the buildings’ solidity and safety: Geotechnical investigation, Reinforced concrete and metallic structure works of all structural elements of the building, Buildings’ envelop (e.g. stone cladding mechanical system, aluminum windows and doors, glazing, curtain walls,...), waterproofing system of exterior balconies, terraces and roofs, Fire safety requirement (according to “Batiment Reglement Habitation”,etc…)My mission covers also the technical control of Infrastructure works such as roads, Shoring system (e.g. diaphragm walls, piles,…), quantity and quality control of materials and works,etc..We are in a world that search for Quality and Safety of construction works. The position that I hold now is essential in driving this forward, which motivates and inspires me everyday. The huge experience that I get in my current position is a good proof that my work is never boring!
