Design calculations for different types of products as per customer needs.  Developing mechanical design considering all the mechanical and process constraints such as weight to strength ratio, mounting locations, available space and manufacturing feasibility, etc. Preparing general arrangement layout as per customer requirements, inquiries, and work out optimized solutions. Designing, costing and Estimation of plants, equipments and services. Prepare drawings, related change notices, purchase requisitions etc. Supervise the Shop floor people while assembling the prototype & conduct trials, analyze the performance and make the necessary changes to improve the performance of the product. Co-ordinate with the Service Engineers at various sites during the erection & the installation of the newly developed products and take all responsibility to check status regularly and attend site problems. Visit the plant of the customer for conducting field trials. Visit to QC department to discuss the critical dimensions available in the drawings. Follow up with purchase department for purchase and stores department for raising indent for procurement with correct technical specification. Safe storage and up keep of all old project, technical documents through design office staff. Maintenance of all registers and documents as per the ISO manual. Knowledge of ASME Y14.5M. Solid modeling and detail drawings of the mechanical parts using auto cad or other software e.g. solid works, solid edge Software.
