Justin served one month via an internship with the Topeka Police Department (TPD), gaining real-world experience and professional development in law enforcement. He participated in various law enforcement training focused on emergency vehicle operations, defensive tactics, drug enforcement, gang interdiction, and community policing. Performed case analysis on current investigations with the TPD’s Detective’s Bureau. Additionally he conducted multi-shift ride-along with veteran patrol officers and even completed and passed the National Police Officer Selection Test and the National Police Officer Physical Agility Test.

Justin assisted students, faculty, and parents with needs concerning the Criminal Justice department at Southern Miss. As well as office work including faxing, scanning, copying, filing, etc. He was also responsible for the care of confidential documents.
