I am a passionate Public Health graduate from American University with a commitment to advancing health equity and empowering disadvantaged communities. Growing up in Southern California as the child of Mexican immigrants, I witnessed firsthand the importance of equitable access to health resources and education. These experiences drive my dedication to creating and supporting programs that address systemic health disparities, as well as using my knowledge to contribute to innovative health research.My academic background blends rigorous biochemical sciences from my pre-med studies with sociological insights and public health research methodologies. I've gained experience in chronic disease research, epidemiology, and health equity programming through roles like my time as a Special Projects Intern with the National WIC Association, where I contributed to impactful health advocacy projects.With skills in basic research methods, Microsoft Office, and bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish, I am adept at bridging communication gaps and analyzing complex data to inform actionable solutions.
