We started Turnkey in 2012 and was the CEO/co-founder until August 2020, when we were acquired by SpendMend to help Turnkey get to the next level. In 2013 I stepped down from my role as Director of Pharmacy at Utah Valley Regional Medical Center, and the Urban South Region to pursue a career in helping 340B covered entities. Prior to this, I worked as the pharmacy operations manager at Utah Valley, pharmacy operations coordinator at Intermountain Medical Center, and a pharmacy manager at Intermountain Healthcare's corporate office. I trained with Intermountain Healthcare completing 2 years of residency (PGY1 hospital pharmacy, PGY2 hospital administration), while completing an MS in pharmacy administration at the University of Utah. My business partners and I started out by managing Intermountain Healthcare's 340B program. As we learned and grew our knowledge and expertise, we shared our experiences on the 340B Program Blog (340bprogram.org). Over time, we received requests for formal consulting work and decided to create Turnkey Pharmacy Solutions to support the consulting requests. As of October 2013, I have stepped down from my role as a pharmacy director of a 400-bed DSH to focus on supporting various covered entities in their 340B programs. We now provide full 340B management support, operational reviews, external 340B audits, policy and procedure generation, and general 340B consulting for various aspects of the 340B program. We also joint-ventured to start a 340B optimization company (focused on finding missed savings opportunity) at Elevate340B (www.elevate340b.com). Started at Cottonwood in 1999, went to the corporate office from 2006 to 2009, IMED from 2009 to 2010, and now at Utah Valley since 2010. Last served as the director of pharmacy for Intermountain Healthcare's Urban South Region, with direct oversight for Utah Valley Regional Medical Center inpatient pharmacy. During my tenure at Utah Valley Regional Medical Center, we expanded our 340B program to include multiple contract pharmacies, creation of our 340B compliance/audit plan, and implemented a new triple split system to be inline with GPO Exclusion compliance expectations.
