For the third rotation I was based at a dynamic site which produces the electrical steel used in electric motors. I was responsible for data processing for which I leant on my coding skills, improving the speed and accuracy of data preparation from historic systems. I was also the project manager/engineer for two improvement projects. One involved set up and installation of a line camera to aid in problem solving. For the other I developed dashboards in the new data handling system to improve day-to-day management and efficiency.

During the second rotation I was the project manager responsible for the automation of a Colour-Coat production line. I worked with the software contractor, line operators and engineers to deliver a solution that improved average line speed and reduced need for operator intervention. I had to understand and manage the impact of change, to minimise the risk and maximise the benefit.

First of four rotations as an international technical graduate. Project leader on an investigation into raw materials consumption at the Pickle Line. Carried out a detailed chemical mass balance over the line, using Practical Problem Solving (PPS) tools to aid the investigation and provide effective communication of results.

As an engineer within the Process Team, I work with clients across numerous industries to achieve solutions to process issues. Typical projects may involve air dispersion modelling, production of water mass balance, investigation of effluent treatment plant, process optimisation, up-cycling of waste products.
