Hello there! My name is Esther and I was born and raised in Anchorage, Alaska. I am a junior at Boston College, pursuing a bachelor's degree in Political Science and minors in General Business and Philosophy. I am passionate about learning how people think, communicate, and interact, and how these aspects relate to legal and social issues.I currently work as a teacher's assistant for a class in the Business Law department, where I have crafted the course canvas system and currently manage, design the content and structure of quizzes and exams, evaluate student performance, and collaborate with the professor to actively respond to requests for lecture materials, form and document submissions, grading requirements, and any course updates.I also work at the Cadigan Alumni Center at Boston college as a caller, where I work with the undergraduate, graduate, and law alumni community and parents of current undergraduate students to foster engagement through emails, calls, and events, offer support and resources in areas ranging from career to personal life, and promoting networking opportunities. Through these calls, I also work to secure donations and facilitate payments towards our school's institutional programs and initiatives.In addition, I have recently completed my internship over the summer with the Alaska Department of Transportation in the Civil Rights Division, where I evaluated legal contracts and email corresponds across multiple state softwares and used Microsoft Excel and Adobe Acrobat to organize data. I have also had the opportunity to travel around Alaska with this department, to take measurements and log data into the GIS database for the Americans with Disabilities Transition Plan for the Right of Way project.I am eager to explore opportunities for Spring and Summer '25, where I can apply and expand my skills and knowledge in policy, business, and interpersonal communications. I am open to various fields and sectors and am willing to learn new things and take on challenges.
