He was the Regional Vice President and wholesaler for 10 years at Ascensus, the leading independent provider of open architecture recordkeeping services, where he is well-known for his sales leadership, innovation and deep relationship building with advisor and institutional partners.Rob started his career in the defined benefit plan market with Mutual of America, where he managed a regional retirement plan sales, actuarial consulting and service center, and had corporate duties in employee coaching and training. He then moved to Ernst & Young, LLP and managed outsourcing, risk management and process improvement engagements as the National Retirement Plan Solutions Manager. He was a COO and shareholder in the dot.com firm NEBS online that advanced a 403(b) multi-vendor platform in public education. Prior to joining Ascensus in 2005 as a Regional Vice President, he led client services and business development for the law and TPA firm of MandMarblestone, P.C. in Philadelphia. He served for a year as the National 403(b) Sales Director for RMS Associates which was acquired by Mutual of Omaha. He earned the Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS) Fellow designation from the Wharton School and International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans, and the Accredited Retirement Plan Consultant (ARPC) designation from the Society of Professional Asset-Managers and Record Keepers (SPARK). In 2004 he was appointed as an industry representative with a retirement plan specialty on the FINRA Board of Arbitrators.
