Liberty USA of Michigan, aka Liberty Motors USA, is a sales and distribution organization established to bring the Liberty rear entry wheelchair van product to a wider audience here on the domestic level. Developed hybrid distribution process incorporating both direct and distributor sale techniques. Work directly with our sister firm in Akron, Ohio.

Developed and expanded commercial business for our full-size airport shuttle van product. Concurent with that, developed commercial customer base for side-entry wheelchair accessible minivan product and established distribution points within the 48 contiguous states. Also set up Canadian distribution with our partner, Liberty Motor Company in Oakville.

Worked as liasion to the Big Three OEM's in conjuntion with their respective bailment pool operations. Primary focus was truck equipment upfits on 1-ton (Class 3-5) and Medium duty (Class 6-7) chassis in a four (4) state area. Had direct involvement with franchised dealer development of commercial truck sales as well as establishing a network of stocking.

Elkhart Truck and Body was a manufacturer of high-quality, aluminum hauler bodies for the equine and RV industries. Worked directly with Ford Motor Company, General Motors, and Freightliner for chassis procurement. Marketed to franchised OEM dealerships along with horse trailer and RV outlets.

Managed Commercial vehicle sales in Michigan and Indiana, calling specifically on OEM dealerships with Ford, Dodge, Chevrolet, and GMC franchises.Offered many types of vocational bodies and applications in the form of: dump bodies, stake bodies, service bodies, van bodies, cutaway bodies, along with underbody hoists and various accessories to make vehicles.

Helped in the development of a new division of seating for Sears Seating. We catered to the RV industry, particularly the conversion van segment with some regional efforts in the motor home space.Sears produced a very high-end product that was suited to longer design cycles and decided to exit the space in the early part of 1988.
