Serving as a senior consultant in 3ie work and public good products: systematic reviews, evidence gap maps, the Development Evidence Portal, and other development-oriented research. Majority of my time has been dedicated to the Development Evidence Portal: a repository of high quality evidence for development. In recent work, I have been managing a team of more than twenty-five consultants at a given time in data extraction, using processes and tools developed by myself and my team. Through the course of working with 3ie, I have reviewed well over 3,000 impact evaluations in their entirety, covering all sectors in development. I have worked on specific projects researching access to electricity and digital health initiatives.

Washington D.C. Metro Area

Evaluating the impact of an integrated African Development Bank (AfDB) road Project in Northern Ghana. My role was to support the design and execution of the evaluation, and assist in the preparation of reports. The work involved missions to the field to assess all aspects of the project via on-site inspections and dialogues in situ. As part of this project, I had trained and oversaw enumerators in the field, during the data collection phase of the evaluation.

Worked with a team to extract data from surveys (in Arabic) to clean, map, and use in econometric analysis. Prepared field experiments to test potential improvements in the current intervention. This work is part of an ongoing impact evaluation of an agricultural development intervention in the Middle East.

Reviewed and analyzed grant applications, 95% of which are in Spanish, the rest are in either English or Portuguese, to the Subcommittee to support various church-related programs throughout Latin America and the Caribbean, as well as their final reports. Reports are directly presented to the bishops on the Subcommittee for the Church in Latin America. I also engaged in various tasks to support the administration of approved grant applications.

Worked with the results of an impact evaluation of local development projects in Guatemala to expand on and analyze the effects of those projects on their beneficiaries. Reviewed relevant literature which had emerged since the impact evaluation had been completed, and preform econometric analysis of the data in order to determine the effects of these localized interventions.

Santiago, R.M., Chile

Analyzed and audited various aspects of the company’s financial statements as well as project summaries, in order to generate useful reports for the financial team. As Crystal Lagoons is a Chilean multinational company, I worked with statements from around the world, and more specifically with the United States and the Netherlands. As this internship is taking place in Santiago de Chile, all aspects work and interactions were realized in Spanish.

I accomplished various tasks relating to the administration of the course such as grading and hosting office hours to assist in the students learning in the principles of macroeconomics. As well as accomplishing research on economic themes such as remittances and participating in a field study.
