The International Genetically Engineered Machine competition (iGEM) is an annual, worldwide, synthetic biology event held by the Cambridge Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). The competition is aimed at undergraduate university students, as well as high school and graduate students. Multidisciplinary teams work all summer long to build genetically engineered systems using standard biological parts called Biobricks. iGEM teams work inside and outside the lab, creating sophisticated projects.The iGEM ends with the Giant Jamboree, an annual event where all of the iGEM teams come together to present their synthetic biology projects. All participants are invited to the Giant Jamboree to present their accomplishments and compete in front of jury and a global audience trough poster sessions and an oral presentation. For the 2016 edition, the Hynes Convention Center, located in historic Boston, MA, has hosted about 300 international teams. The 2016 Institut Pasteur team has been built with multidisciplinarity in mind, thus it is composed of students from different fields :- Biology students from universities Paris 7 Diderot and Paris 6 UPMC- Physic and chemical engineer students from ESPCI- Industrial Design students from ENSCI- Intellectual Property Law student from faculté Jean Monnet - Université Paris-Sud XIFor the 2016 iGEM's giant Jamboree, among the 280 participating teams, we have been rewarded for our "Mos(kit)o" project with several prices:-A gold medal-Best Diagnostic project-Best applied design-Best entrepreneurship projectBut also a nomination for the final of the best project, and a nomination for the best presentation
