Latenrgy is developing a low-cost thermal energy storage solutions which will enable utility companies to store energy economically for peak shaving and energy arbitrage.Within a span of 5 months, our team did some phenomenal job in designing and developing underlying chemical engineering process. We were one among 15 cleantech companies competitively selected to present at Cleantech Forum San Francisco 2014.UPDATE: The technical limitations of our core techonology rendered us not to purse the startup further.

• Launched and managed an advance environmental and geo-chemical analysis laboratory.• Trained research staff and students on analytical instruments, such as ICP-OES, Ion Chromatograph, Particle-size Analyzer and Total Carbon and Nitrogen Analyzer.• Delivered lectures on Chemistry and assisted departmental staff and researchers on their research—especially on experimental protocols, instrumental method of analysis, and soil chemistry.

A nanomanufacturing start-up (defunct) for specialty nanomaterial for pharmaceutical and photovoltaic sector.

In this project we developed a systematic approach to model stability of Nanofluids which show enhanced heat capacity. I mainly focused on engineering design and fabrication aspect of the project.

Engineered and fabricated novel process-systems for large-scale nanomanufacturing of specialty nanomaterials. Co-drafted grant proposal and patent applications. I also led business development aspect of the project, engaged potential clients, and played instrumental role in attracting funding opportunities from private entities. The project was funded under Proof-of-Concept grant by National Research Foundation (NRF) of Singapore.

As a graduate research student, I worked and collaborated with researchers and technicians at IME to design and develop Silicon micro-reactors for my thesis work. I worked in cleanrooms and had extensive hands-on experience in surface micro-machining techniques including Photolithography, BOE etching, and Anodic bonding. I also gathered extensive knowledge on MEMS principles and microfabrication of polymeric materials.
