In the end, Forbes called it “Coachella for Grownups.” Prior to the event, I coordinated all marketing and advertising efforts; wrote copy for the program, website, and magazine inserts; coordinated social media efforts; and handled radio promotions. Highlights include: contributing to a 61% increase (to 56,455) in Facebook “Likes”; negotiating saving of more than $146,000 in advertising media; developing a college promotion program; and helping increase total ticket sales from 27,000 to more than 68,700.

In order to launch all new marketing communications, point-of-sale, and packaging materials within 6 weeks, I managed multiple design firms plus an ad agency. The combination of new branding materials increased organic traffic to the website by 70%. I also spearheaded and championed the Social Media Sobriety Test, which received more than 120 minutes of broadcast coverage in 173 countries, with more than 1,000 press hits (including a mention on Jimmy Kimmel Live). I was also responsible for a quarterly budget of $1.2 million and managed to it. I worked with accounting and finance to ensure that we were on track every quarter.

Six months later I found myself in refugee camps in northern Uganda, where I photographed, videotaped, and interviewed people impacted by the communications technology Inveneo provided. The result was a brochure and a Blurb book called, “Picturing Hope” that we used as an emotional sales piece. I also managed Inveneo’s Facebook and Twitter accounts. • Wyse Technology
    Creative Director
    Wyse Technology Sep 2005 - Jan 2007
When the VP of Marketing hired me, he told me that I had 12 weeks to reposition the company along the lines of Thomas Friedman’s book “The World Is Flat” and drive all graphics and messages for a corporate relaunch. Developed a brochure and advertising to match the new corporate positioning (“Your world is now flat. How will you compute and compete?”). A year later I took this visionary positioning and made it more practical ("Personal computers were never designed to run an enterprise or business") for the sales teams. I also managed a lead-generation and nurturing program that generated a 12x ROI. Also developed a new program to give away an “Office in a Box” at a key tradeshow. Increased leads by 20% and relevant leads by more than 50%.
