Creative DirectorWebroot Software Dec 2009 - Feb 2011Broomfield, Co, UsWhen the CMO needed to create a ruckus in the marketplace, he turned to me. Together we developed new creative strategies and plans for both consumer and business product lines. In order to launch all new marketing communications, point-of-sale, and packaging materials within 6 weeks, I managed multiple design firms plus an ad agency. The combination of new branding materials increased organic traffic to the website by 70%. I also spearheaded and championed the Social Media Sobriety Test, which received more than 120 minutes of broadcast coverage in 173 countries, with more than 1,000 press hits (including a mention on Jimmy Kimmel Live). I was also responsible for a quarterly budget of $1.2 million and managed to it. I worked with accounting and finance to ensure that we were on track every quarter. -

Director Of Marketing CommunicationsInveneo Dec 2006 - Dec 2009San Francisco, Ca, UsI wanted to do something meaningful, so I found a nonprofit that played to my passions: the Inveneo team. Six months later I found myself in refugee camps in northern Uganda, where I photographed, videotaped, and interviewed people impacted by the communications technology Inveneo provided. The result was a brochure and a Blurb book called, “Picturing Hope” that we used as an emotional sales piece. I also managed Inveneo’s Facebook and Twitter accounts. Advertising LecturerSan Jose State University Aug 2008 - Jul 2009San Jose, Ca, UsPart of my effort to do something meaningful included sharing my love of writing, advertising, and marketing with students at SJSU. My passion must have been contagious as I scored very high in reviews from both students and faculty and was invited back when budgets allowed. -
Creative DirectorWyse Technology Sep 2005 - Jan 2007When the VP of Marketing hired me, he told me that I had 12 weeks to reposition the company along the lines of Thomas Friedman’s book “The World Is Flat” and drive all graphics and messages for a corporate relaunch. Developed a brochure and advertising to match the new corporate positioning (“Your world is now flat. How will you compute and compete?”). A year later I took this visionary positioning and made it more practical ("Personal computers were never designed to run an enterprise or business") for the sales teams. I also managed a lead-generation and nurturing program that generated a 12x ROI. Also developed a new program to give away an “Office in a Box” at a key tradeshow. Increased leads by 20% and relevant leads by more than 50%.
