FounderWeboftales.Com 1997 - 2009LondonAt the time I sold my shares in Wild Harvest Ltd the first internet boom was in full swing. Having always had a love of story telling in the old bardic tradition I wondered if it might not be possible to use the internet to help the story telling revival and make a business at the same time. Web of tales was a wonderful website for story tellers and lovers of story telling. I spent a wonderful 9 months in recording studios with the new generation of British story tellers getting their material digitised. Story tellers included Ben Haggerty, Hugh Lupton and Jan Blake. This was a wonderful period but sadly direction was hard to commercialise particularly because there was no micro payment mechanism available at the time.

Starting with energy plantations to provide sustainable biomass energy for industry and the grid. The main energy crop is gliricidia which provides fire wood. It also intercrops with food crops and feeds the soil with nitrogen while the leaves provide fodder for cattle. Furthermore we strove establish the plantations on abandoned and under utilised lands. We are followed the criteria for sustainable plantations set down in the Green Gold Label Biomass sustainable standards. The burn is cheap and clean and provides big cost savings for industry making the switch from imported diesel and fuel oil to our sustainable crops a strong proposition. Regretably the war returned in full force, inflation rose to 24% and we were unable to achieve full funding.

We also provided early interactive online virtual tours for clients such as English Nature. I enjoyed the creativity but we did not achieve 2nd round funding.

By the time I sold my interest in 2007 we supplied 350 of the top hotels and restaurants in Britain having built our turnover from 0 to 1.5 million Sterling. This was a rapid growth hard work period.
