Basic chair side duties in prosthodontics, endodontics, periodontics, orthodontics and oral surgery, reception and administrative duties, handling payments and end of day cwash up, arranging work hours and duties for dental assistants, ordering and supplying of stock and dealing with dental representatives, referrals to specialists, handling accounts, developing radiographs, giving oral hygiene instructions to patients and selling dental merchandise to patients.

Chairside assisting, mixing of preventive and restorative materials, attending to patient needs and assuring comfort, basic reception duties and assisting dentist in home visits.

Temping at various dental facilities: private, community and hospitals. In community I was assisting consultants who were treating special needs patients, such as those with infectious diseases, physical and mental impairments, we also carried out home visits to patients who were home bound. My duties as an assistant included mixing of preventive and restorative materials, sterilization and giving patients instruction in toothbrushing and flossing.

Chair side assisting in: endodontics, prosthodontics, oral surgery. Reception duties which include: handling stock, dealing with patient accounts and dental referrals.

Dental Assisting a general dentist whilst being trained in patient care, handling and mixing of materials, sterilization, handling of instruments, National Health Service administrative work, filing, and collecting payments.
