The system software for Digital TV includes an application management functionality, which is responsible for managing the life cycle of all applications. STB listens to AIT (Application Information table broadcasted in network) and XAIT( Extended AIT) changes and changes the state of the application according to the change in its control code field in AIT. Application manager also maintains the state of all the application makes sure the applications have enough permissions to run based on the permission request file. Our team developed application manager and associated modules, tested and successfully deployed it.
