Responsible for assisting with and advising about the running and installation of the company’s many product lines. For the most part I have been involved in running Mudline and Surface equipment from spud to completion, involving work on both exploration and production wells having been involved closely with CNOOC infill drilling project on the Buzzard. All the above activities involved on and offshore preparation prior to the job, on job supervision of Dril-Quip equipment and liaising with drilling contractor and the client. I also have experience in the maintenance and repair of DQ SU902 surface wellhead and tree system having spent a total of 2-3 years in this roll spanning my time here at Dril-Quip.

Duties include supervising and overseeing the offshore installation of various Subsea, Mudline and Surface wellhead systems from spud to completion. Including Vetco MS700, Plexus 13⅝”10M “Pos-Grip’’ Surface Wellhead System & W/TRT-S Mud Line Suspension System, Cameron SSMC Surface Wellhead & Production Tree, Dril-Quip SU902 Surface Wellhead System & MS-10 Mud Line Suspension System etc. Most recently I have been assigned to the Ithaca Stella Project on the GE SG1 Dril-Thru System and GE SVXT 6,500psi, 5⅛” x 2⅟₁₆” subsea production tree.When not required offshore I assist with the onshore planning and procurement of equipment related to the above subsea operations. Attending onshore make ups, SITs, DWOPs etc.

To a lesser extent I have also worked with the “Dril-Thru” system having carried out work on West Grove and Doris wells. Besides this I have had limited experience with Dril-Quip’s Sub Sea line. All the above activities involved on and offshore preparation prior to the job, on job supervision of Dril-Quip equipment and liaising with drilling contractor and the client. From March of 2009 I was part of the offshore team on Buzzard bringing the lapsed maintenance of Wellheads and Christmas Trees up to date, a task we achieved in the beginning of October 2009.

Responsible for running and pulling down hole tubulars, using a varied array of handling equipment, hydraulic power tongs on all sizes, grades, weights and thread types of pipe. Other equipment included Joint Analyzed Make-Up (JAM) system, Power scope and Stab Master. Dedicated crew chief on the Deep Sea Bergen contracted to BP in the Rhum Field. My responsibilities in this post were to oversee my crew, liaise with client representatives on board the rig regarding the job at hand and deal with any problems that may arise during operations. During my time at Weatherford I completed many safety related courses including Safety Leadership, Advanced Safety Leadership, Advanced Safety Auditing, Weatherford’s SAFE Program, Environmental Awareness to mention a few.
