Major part of my role was to release new products and features to improve product portfolio. I led concept generation, detailed engineering 3D design in sheet-metal and plastic, supported in prototyping and testing. Mitigation of risk at every design phase using DFMEA and on-time launch of project was my responsibility. Parallelly, I mentored engineers to deploy DFSS methodology. I collaborated with internal and external stakeholders for analysis and testing and reported functionally to the R&D team in Hengelo, The Netherlands.Following are some of the significant projects that I have worked on: - Design of cost effective busbars using copper-cladded-aluminium material. Led geometry optimization to minimize power-loss and maximize cost-savings. Achieved overall $100k cost saving on copper busbars. - Design of a novel, safer and cheaper design for arc-free busbar connection that reduced assembly time and improved thermal management to meet required Ampere rating. - Design of Fused Cabinets - Component selection (fuses, switches and disconnectors), cable routing in the cabinet considering bending radius and length of cables, DFA, part count reduction.
