Hayyan has experience in working on high profile commercial cases involving foreign banks and consortiums and been part of the legal team litigating the data privacy case, the first ever Maldivian gerrymandering lawsuit, and class actions; including the largest class action employment lawsuit submitted in the Maldives. Hayyan has also worked on law reform and lobbying of important bills. Hayyan completed his Bachelor of Shari'ah and Law (Honours) from the Maldives National University and is the treasurer of Maldives National University Students' Union and the former president of Society of Shari'ah and Law, the student representative wing of MNUSU.
