I'm a Software Engineering and HCI Lecturer driven by a passion for collaboration and making a positive impact. With a PhD from the University of St Andrews School of Computer Science, I'm dedicated to tackling social challenges through research and education.In my doctoral research, I introduced the Ethnographically-informed Distributed Participatory Design (EDPD) framework, a novel approach empowering diverse online communities to contribute to bottom-up solutions.Currently, I'm focused on exploring ways to bridge the gap between researchers and communities to address issues like digital poverty and misinformation. Alongside my co-founder at the IDEA Network, we're driving efforts to support open-knowledge research projects and empower researchers to make a real difference.My long-term aspiration? To launch Global Share, a social enterprise dedicated to breaking down career and academic barriers through technology.Outside of work, you'll find me enjoying music, aesthetic bodybuilding, practising archery, and trying my hand (or feet!) at slacklining.
