Alexander Glenn-Camden Email and Phone Number

Alexander Glenn-Camden joined the United States Army as an infantryman in February 2010. After completing basic infantry and Airborne school, he reported to his unit Bravo Company “The Real Easy”, 2nd-506th, 4th Brigade Combat Team “Currahee” of the 101st Airborne Division “Screaming Eagles” in Fort Campbell, Kentucky. Shortly after arriving at his unit, Alex deployed to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF). On March 27th, 2011, while on a dismounted patrol, Alex and his platoon walked into a large ambush. During that fight, Alex sustained a gunshot wound to the neck. To this day, the bullet remains in his C3-C4 spinal region. This injury led to Alex getting medically discharged from the Army.Once home, Alex took up golf for both physical and mental therapy. “I needed an escape from just sitting around feeling sorry for myself. I was dealing with all kinds of different emotions from my injury and the deployment and it was making it hard to live a normal healthy life. That's when I saw the golf clubs in the closet and decided to go hit some balls.” It didn't take long for Alex to get consumed in all things golf rather than the PTS and depression he was dealing with. In 2023, Alex, and two of his veteran friends, decided to start the Loops Fore Troops Foundation to help other veterans find peace and heal the same way they did through golf and caddying. Some of Alex's military awards include the Purple Heart, Army Commendation Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal, Combat Infantryman Badge, and the Parachutist Badge. Alex is also humbled and blessed to not only be an alumni of the Team 43 family, which is a sports program that former President Bush puts on but to also be one of the veterans painted by President Bush in his book “Portraits of Courage”.
