I'm Alex, a recent graduate from San Diego State University with a B.S. in Biology with an emphasis in Zoology and a minor in Comparative Literature. I am pursuing my passion of wildlife conservation and animal welfare, which is something I have always been drawn to with a desire to protect and learn more about the natural world. I have studied this branch of biology with the goal of becoming an advocate for animal and environmental preservation and protection. I strongly believe the ways to achieve this are through education and awareness, which is why I have spent time volunteering at various organizations, and writing about wildlife in my blog. My minor in comparative literature, allows me to critically analyze different kinds of literature, and has taught me a unique lens through which I am able to draw parallels between science and the humanities. This blend of studies allows me to approach topics regarding animal and environmental conservation with a well rounded approach, and furthers my curiosity and desire to pursue more in this field.
