The Alabama Emergency Net “Y” is in liaison with the Alabama Emergency Net Systemand the National Traffic System. The net sponsor is the Gadsden Amateur Radio Club.Club information may be found at www.garc.org.This net meets every Tuesday at 8:30p.m. Alabama local time on the Gadsden AmateurRadio Club 147.160 MHz repeater with a positive offset and a tone of 100 Hz. If thisrepeater is out of service, the net will be held on the local EMA 146.820 MHz repeater witha negative offset and a tone of 192.8 Hz. The purpose of this net is to train members to bemore proficient operators during emergency situations and when handling traffic. All radioamateur operators are invited to participate.
